Generational Family Photo Shoot | Family Photographer, Leicester

I thought I’d bring you some sunshine on this dreary November day!

We have giggles, hide and seek, love and laughter…

The thing that excites me about getting big families together is that they have so much catching up to do that they almost forget I’m there - which is great, because it means that I can easily capture everyone being natural and relaxed.

The girls were absolutely adorable and I could have photographed them all. day. long.

It doesn't seem 5 minutes ago that we were organising Diana’s family photo shoot. Her friends had clubbed together and bought her vouchers as they knew that she was keen to get the family photographed before the girls grew any more!!

I remember chatting to Diana on the phone as she listed everybody that would be attending “of course, the hardest bit is going to be getting them all together - they all live at different ends of the country and they are always so busy”…so I gave Diana a list of viable dates and set her the challenge of nailing everyone down, knowing that that they’d appreciate how important the photo shoot was and that they’d be grateful to her for organising it. We settled on a date in August and chose Whatton House and gardens as our location.

Within no time of meeting, everyone was catching up and laughing away as though it was just a normal Sunday with the family.

The girls had a brilliant time twirling and playing and soon discovered that Whatton Gardens are the BEST place for hide and seek.

Following a thoroughly lovely morning we said our goodbyes and the family headed off for some Sunday lunch.

My favourite thing about this session? well, it has to be all that love. Just look at the connection between the girls and their grandparents. I think those girls are going to treasure these photographs for many years to come and Diana has a beautiful frame of all of her favourite people hanging in her kitchen.
